About Me
My name is Steven Leija. I was born and raised in Lubbock, TX, home of Texas Tech University. Becoming a Red Raider was always a childhood dream for as far back as I could remember. I graduated from Texas Tech in May 2000 with a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and moved to Dallas to begin a consulting career in developing enterprise software.
In the fall of 2006 I decided to take my passion for photography to the next level. I found a way to combine my photography hobby with my true passion, sports. I stepped on the field for the first time as a photographer and photographed the Texas Tech vs. TCU football game. At that point, I knew this was the genre of photography I could excel in with devotion and hard work. In a very short time my hobby became my passion with the goal of capturing the true essence of sports. The thrill of victory, a game winning play, or the agony of defeat; my goal is to capture the love of the game in a snapshot of time.
Leaders aren’t born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.
