Hey Billy! Welcome to the site. I was using a D3 with a 70-200 lens.
Quality work.. I am shooting an indoor cheerleading competition this weekend in Atlanta, any tips for a Nikon D-300 shooter>?
It will really depend on your light for the competition. Most likely you need to shoot wide open and make sure to focus on the face as a f2/8 might cause cheer to be out of focus for the shallow DOF.
