Sheffield leads Air Attack, Defense dominates!

Loading ...Lincoln NE, Oct 17, 2009 – This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot at the home of the 5 time national champions Nebraska Cornhuskers! Some of the best collegiate athletes have come from NU including Heisman winners Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier and Eric Crouch. This was certainly a highlight location for my young sports photography career. This matchup reintroduced the famous “Blackshirts” for the Cornhuskers as they hoped to snap the current 3 game losing streak against the Red Raiders. The #2 ranked defense of the Cornhuskers was not enough to stop the #2 ranked Texas Tech offense as the Red Raiders on the opening drive went 81 yards in 9 plays scoring a touchdown, never to look back. The Red Raiders extended their 4 game winning streak over the #15 Cornhuskers with a 31-10 upset victory.
